GREAT LAKES REGIONAL MEETING, Ladoga, Indiana USA on Sept 15, 2012

Bob Chastain auctions off the "Ant Farm" donated by Bill Poynter Saturday September 15 was a beautiful sunny day in Indiana. Forty IWCS members gathered at Bob & Judy Chastain's home for an IWCS Great Lakes Regional Meeting.
Coffee and doughnuts started off the morning then the demonstrations began. Bill Poynter made bird houses. Bob Chastain and Past President Bill Perkins turned Christmas ornaments. The ladies made some beautiful wooden broaches and local scroll saw expert, Don French, did demonstrations on his scroll saw.
Lunch was prepared and served by the local ladies. The Pie Baking Contest was won by Kris Troyer with her watermelon rind pie (the recipe is on 16 of the Nov/Dec issue of WOW). Theresa Burris took 2nd place with her pecan pie. All of the pies then became our dessert.
We signed up two new members and collected $600 for the general fund from the Wood & Craft Auction.
